F.E.A.R Files [Xbox 360]
F.E.A.R. Files does almost nothing to improve on F.E.A.R, which was already a stellar title; but it does add some new features. It’s basically just more levels of the same game, but the supposed benefit of this title is that–as a standalone–you don’t need to still have F.E.A.R. in order to play the expansion packs of “Extraction Point” and “Perseus Mandate.” Packs add three new weapons each as well as a few enemies. Additionally, you don’t just open doors now, you can bash them open with your weapon or blow them open with explosives. It’s a somewhat of a small inclusion, but it’s a little more emphatic.
F.E.A.R. Files uses combat adaptable AI to provide an intense “action movie” experience while keeping players engrossed in it’s spine-chilling storylines. Gamers will assume the roles of an elite soldier trained in combating unusual and unimaginable situations. Called in to confront a mysterious force, the player must escape from a crisis spiraling out of control.
